This past weekend was FULL of holiday preparations and festivities. I got a little surprise from Cassie to start my weekend off on the right foot. She packaged up the cutest little peppermint scrub, complete with tags and twine!! I can’t wait to use that this week. Friday was also full of holiday shopping. I’m uhh … still not done. I definitely stopped in for a red velvet cupcake at a local shop. The vanilla bean cheesecake frosting was to die for.
Sadly, it’s looking like it’s going to be a brown Christmas. At least that’s what the weather people are saying, and I believe em. I’ll have to admit, although I hate the cold up here, I’m going to be sad that this will be my first “brown” Christmas ever … it just not normal for MinneSNOWta, you know?? Everything is so dead and drab looking.
On a happier note, I went to the Holidazzle parade in Minneapolis on Saturday night with Michael. I froze my toes and fingers off, but the hot chocolate sure did help. My most favorite part was seeing a tiny little boy, covered in head to toe with lights and dressed up like a tree. His coat sleeves drooped all the way to the street as he waddled along. It was absolutely adorable! And yes, I waved to santa at the end of the parade. I was real nice and excited about seeing him! Hope you all had a nice and relaxing weekend. Let’s kick Monday in the butt!!
