I wanted to update you all on my business rebranding process so far! Ever since coming to a crossroads and hearing all of your opinions, I’m been extremely motivated to get things off the ground! When I have an idea, I go for it … that’s just how I am. Needless to say, I’m very close to launching everything. Early April it is!

I’ve already rebranded myself, designed ( + coded ) my new portfolio, designed a matching blog, and made business cards. So, I thought I’d share a little peek into what’s going on. The above image is from making my own business cards last night. DIY cards sure are friendly to my wallet! And below that, you’ll see just a few fonts that are being used in my brand. I don’t want to share the finished product just yet, so I thought this would be fun for now!

  4. Krissy says:

Oh man, squinting so hard to make out what’s on the bottom of that stamp! hah. Really looking forward to the veiling and seeing the awesomeness that’s sure to ensue! Yay! :D

Looks absolutely wonderful! I re-branded early this year, and I’m still refining it – I’ve gotten a lot of free advice reading the “crossroads” post though, so thank you for that! :) I’m excited to see where this fresh look takes you!

I need that paper cutter, STAT. Where, pretell, did you get it?? Also I’m DYINGGGGGGGGG to see your new launch. Speaking from firsthand experience as to exactly how crazy damn awesome you are, I’m just GIDDY with excitement.

And yes – darling – that shoot will happen. I promise. June is going to be a slow month for me…so we’ll HAVE to do something. Keep your calendar (somewhat) open, love.

Thank you LADAYYY! <-- That sounds way more awake than I actually am ahahaha. I'm super excited to share my new branding. AHH. It's almost done. :) I'd love to shoot with you someday! Honestly, I just want to watch a photographer work. I want to shoot more SO BADLY!

  9. I love this font! Did you create it or is it one you purchased? Your work is so inspiring to me as a designer! Love what you do :)

I love all your posts and your recently new site. You mentioned you coded it yourself too? Amazing. I was interested in a piece of advice, if you don’t mind? I am a designer myself, always had an interest in learning to code. Mostly because I hate outsourcing to another person. I think it could be valuable to know how to code my own site. I know a bit of code, here and there. But do you have any advice on learning to code and where to start? How did you start? Thanks, I think you are brilliant! Keep it up.

    • bre says:

Thanks so much. :) I started to code over ten years ago when I was only 13 … nerdy, huh?? Anyway, I’d simply immerse myself in HTML tutorials all over the web. Whenever I hit a roadblock, google was my best friend. There are some great resources out there like “W3 Schools” and “Don’t Fear The Internet.” Taking a class would probably help, too! I could have learned a lot faster if I had someone teaching me, but I didn’t. Wishing you the bets of luck. :)
