Lisa Hackwith is the talented clothing designer + creator behind Hackwith Design House, which is local here to Minneapolis. Her taste is fresh and one of a kind … an absolute must see. With only limited quantities in stock, her work is something you have to jump on. Plus, she was just named Minnesota Monthly’s best local designer. A legit honor. For this creative diary entry, she was to focus on one single work day and answer a few simple questions about the good, the bad, and the inspiring. This is what happened, truthfully.
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING THAT YOU DID THIS MORNING : When I woke up this morning the first thing that I did was drink a cup of coffee while I checked my email, browsed Pinterest and posted a photo to Instagram.
DESCRIBE ONE CHALLENGE THAT YOU FACED : Today I sewed all day! When I launched my website in September I planned on releasing one new item each week but after the first month I decided to start listing two items every week. Lately I’ve been sewing like crazy so that I can release two pieces each week up until Christmas. After Christmas I’m going to take a few weeks off to re-group and I’m very much looking forward to that!
DESCRIBE ONE ACCOMPLISHMENT YOU ACHIEVED : Today I almost finished sewing 11 rompers that will be released in a couple of weeks. I just have to sew in the zippers tomorrow morning and then I’ll be all done.
DESCRIBE ONE THING YOU LEARNED : I learned that my dog Samson has been sneaking naps up on the couch when I’m not looking.
WHAT IS THE LAST THING YOU DID FOR WORK : The last thing that I did for work today was to package up all my sales from today so that I can drop them off at the Post Office tomorrow morning.
AND JUST FOR FUN, DID YOU EAT ANYTHING TASTY : Today I had a Vanilla Chai smoothie for an afternoon snack. :)
