READING I received a book entitled “The 4-Hour Work Week” by Timothy Ferriss from Michael for my birthday, which I started reading right away. I will most likely bring this up again because it’s blowing my mind, but basically, Tim talks a lot about living your life the way you truly want.

THINKING ABOUT what it would be like to own a house. Michael and I currently live near his graduate school so that he can commute easily, but that certainly doesn’t stop me from dreaming of a larger space. I’m so in love with everything Victoria of SFGirlByBay shares. Her eye for design rocks.

LOVING the Coveteur blog. Thanks to a recent post by Emma, I got lost for a good while reading about the lives of other creatives. I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this site before! If you haven’t, please do yourself a favor and head on over right now.

LOOKING FORWARD TO spending some time with Michael ( man, he made it into this post a lot, didn’t he?? ) this weekend. After a combination of him heading back to school and me staying with my cousin this week, I think we’re due for a good date. Pizza anyone??

  1. The 4 hour work week? I have to pick that one up!! =)

I have heard such great things about Tim Ferris! My brother in law and sister are currently doing the “4 Hour Body” and it is revolutionizing the way they eat, and they are losing weight! Tim Ferris is so interesting, I have been reading about him a lot and the experiments he does…its crazy. I’m glad to hear someone else gushing over his work.. I definitely want to try to implement some principles from “4 Hour Work Week” into my life.

that book sounds great! i’m a trained print designer but have started doing a lot of web design too. i notice it being very difficult at the beginning of projects. i’m not used to designing websites and obviously practice will help but i wondered if you have any good webdesign specific book suggestions?

I’d love to hear more about what you think of that book! I was thinking about buying it myself but didn’t know if it was just a bunch of busy talk and no good tips or not. Let us know please! :-)

  6. that book is fantastic. i’ve only read portions of it but my sis-in-law swears by it. i really need to read the whole thing!

Both the book and site look so interesting! Thanks for sharing! Like Alicia, I too am a print designer trying to break into the web design world. You should totally start a web design series ;) Your work is so beautiful!
