Hi, Sammy here. I am a photographer living in New York with my husband, Matt, who is my partner in crime. Together, we spend our weekends exploring the city for its tastiest delights. Last Sunday, the weather happened to be gorgeous, so we took a nice long stroll to Edi + the Wolf for brunch. We loved this place not only for its rustic Austrian cuisine but for its eclectic décor and cozy ambience. There were fun little details everywhere, including light fixtures adorned with top hats, thick rope hanging from the ceiling, and a bouquet of pheasant feathers sitting atop a shelf.

After brunch, we headed over to 9th Street in the East Village, which is dotted with more than a dozen boutiques. As we were walking along, I stopped to snap a photograph of a girl through a window. I love capturing the beauty of life’s unexpected moments.

Matt decided to get an impromptu haircut at Neighborhood Barbers – he likes it old school and only paid $14 … can you believe it?! This gave me time to wander into Grey Era Vintage, which is an absolute gem of a vintage store. The selection of unique and beautiful pieces is a true reflection on Sierra Fromberg’s discerning eye.

Samantha, you know how I told you NY was my spiritual home?! I wasn’t lying and this post just confirms that for me. Your photography floors me!

Absolutely gorgeous photos, Samantha! I’m an NYC girl too, and love 9th St. in the East Village for some good old boutique discovery. There’s one stationery and gift store near Ave. B that is perfection. I will have to try Edi & The Wolf!

And great work on the branding, Bre!
