Introducing Rowan Made | New Design StudioIntroducing Rowan Made | New Design Studio

Do you guys remember this top secret moodboard of mine? It’s been really hard keeping such a big secret under wraps for so long, but I’m finally ready to share the good news with you all! Today is the day I launch my new design studio, Rowan Made. About eight months ago ( or so ), I came to the bittersweet realization that working under my own name was limiting. Being that I want to expand beyond myself, it was clear that something new was needed to create a base for growth. So that’s where I am right now, at the starting line of something completely fresh. It took me months and months to settle on a name, but this one has some personal meaning. There’s this old European Folk Tale that talks about the Rowan Tree, which supposedly prevented travelers from getting lost. And while I hail from the Midwest and don’t have a magical Rowan tree in my backyard ( yet ), I find myself in a similar place. Forging my own creative journey each and everyday, trusting that I’m at the right path. Rowan Made is a journey not only for myself, but for the clients I work with as well. That’s the best part.

Introducing Rowan Made | New Design Studio

I never planned on launching this soon. It was my intention to wait until this summer or fall, but honestly just couldn’t wait much longer. I’m so proud of the story and work going on behind the scenes, that right now just felt right. I’ve been hearing this “just go for it before you’re 100% ready” mantra all over the place, so I decided to give it a go myself. Our website has yet to be designed, but a placeholder has been put up for now, which gives all of the necessary information. With that said, Rowan Made is officially open for business. I’m sure I’ll be keeping you updated here on the blog, but also feel free to follow us on Twitter + Facebook, too. And last but not least, a big thank you to all of you who have been SO supportive of my journey so far. It’s been a roller coaster of a ride, but one that I’m excited to ride over and over again.

  30. Mailinh says:

Congrats on the new chapter of your design journey, Breanna! I remember the days when you were under the name Moxie (SP?) and then switched over to your name. I feel like the readers (me included) had the privilege to witness your growth and journey. I can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for us. What a great way to start the week! :)

    • breanna says:

Oh my! YES, Moxee. So cool you remembered / have been around that long. Thank you so much. :)

    • Mailinh says:

I forgot to add that I always love your style! It’s simple, classic, modern, and different (in a cool way of course). :)

  31. BEAUTIFUL BRAND. So happy for you!

  33. Jess says:

Congratulations! This looks beautiful – I am sure you are going to be wildly successful! I am in the process of launching my own freelance business (still working full-time but am hoping to transition this summer!) and you have been very inspiring :)

  34. Sophie says:

    Congratulations!!! Very exciting!

  35. Sarah says:

Congrats, Breanna! I’m confident that you’ll run with this change and make it work to it’s full potential. I went through some similar challenges when choosing a name for my business, and ultimately decided that going by my name didn’t make sense either. Im nowhere near ready to add another member to my team, but it never hurts to dream, right?!

    • breanna says:

Exactly! I’m not 100% ready to add anybody onto the team, but at least the option is there and makes sense.

  36. Love it! Love the name, the branding and story behind it. Congrats!

  37. Christin says:

It’s always exciting when re-branding your business or just updating your look. I’m in the middle of updating my look as well but I do love the colors you have chosen. The dark gray really brings out the yellow a lot better than a white background. I also LOVE the color change when you hover over a few of the images. :)

  38. Jessica says:

Congratulations Breanna, such exciting news, the logo and branding are so beautiful, I love it. I wish you all the best in this new journey x

  39. Jenny says:

Love the name what it stands for. I have only been following you for a while but I definitely see how great you are and how much effort you’ve been putting in all your work. It is going to be awesome journey for you. Very excited.

  40. Jessica says:
