Ever since I had the best penne alla vodka of my life in Florida over Christmas, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect bowl right here in Minneapolis. I tried a few (and even made my own), but was ultimately left disappointed. So when I ordered a bowl at La Grolla last weekend, I was pleasantly surprised when it was absolutely AMAZING. More penne alla vodka all the time, please? The weather was also glorious that evening. Hello patio season! Although now that I’ve said that, I feel like mother nature will do something scary like make it snow again. I mean, this is Minnesota. #KnockOnWood

My trip to Europe (Rome & Prague) is now only 13 days away. WHOA!! I’ve been so busy with Be Free, Lance and finishing up client work, that it almost doesn’t seem real. I did, however, buy some white sneakers since I made the mistake of walking around for miles in boots during our last trip to Europe. Long story short, I rolled my ankle (looking at you cobblestones) and had a hard time getting around, which is the last thing you want when you’re adventuring in new cities. I have complete faith in these new sneakers and their ability to keep me going. Side note: I know that they are going to get really dirty, but I got them for 40% off, so … oh well!

I mentioned this briefly on instagram the other day, but Michael and I are officially in talks with a realtor about selling our current house (in the suburbs), and moving back to the city. I’m a complete mess of excitement and nerves, but hopefully we’ll find the right place sooner than later. I was thinking about it, and realized that I never really shared our current space with you all on the blog, so I’m thinking about starting a new series about our moving process. Maybe sharing more about #haus733 first will be a good starting point?

I’m so in love with penne alla vodka! It’s my favorite meal when I was child (very strange thing!).
I live in Rome so enjoy your trip! It’s a magical city with a lot arts, foods and good things to see!

Can you have penne alla vodka in Rome, or is that just a thing here? I literally have no idea, and this may be a really dumb question. ;)

Yes we have also here penne alla vodka! I think that is a common recipe but I don’t know. I remember that my mother made penne alla vodka when I was little. I love it!
