Lydia Jane | Moodboard | by Breanna Rose

I’m working with a photographer right now who has quite an inspiring strategy when it comes to branding. After going over our usual questionnaire, she made a special note about her personality. Naturally, she’s really outgoing, chatty, and makes it easy for others to step in front of the camera, no matter the situation. But despite these traits, she wanted her brand to be about the stories. It’s a perfect example of how personal touches can infuse themselves into the branding of a business. So to encourage this balance, we’re going for an aesthetic that is straight forward + simple. Doing this allows the true focal point ( the stories ) to shine. But of course, we’re adding little bits of “edge” here and there to hint at her personality. Branding should tell your story, truthfully. And this one does. We’re in the first revision phase currently and I’m already so pumped to share more with you all next week. Stay tuned!

This moodboard is so interesting, there are so many themes going on I’d love to see how this influences the final result!

  2. I completely, 100 percent agree! Storytelling is such a powerful too + it’s great to see it being used here in the branding process!

    • breanna says:

Yes! Story telling all the way. I love when clients have thought a bit more complex about their biz vs their personalities and how that all intertwines. Always interesting. :)

  3. Kat Curling says:

I’m loving the color palette and the shadows in the photos. I love that the images will somewhat speak for themselves. I can’t wait to see the end project! I’ve only worked with one photographer in the past, but to me it’s a lot of fun to look through their photos and discover who they are. It helped me a lot in the branding process.

  4. Amal says:

I am loving the elements in these images! The colors and shadows and lines are going to tell such an interesting story in themselves. Can’t wait to see the end result!

  11. Tori C. says:

I think this is a question that is more for a Bee Free, Lance post, but… how did you come about your branding process? DId you intern somewhere that gave you a starting point, or did you dive in straight after school? (ps I super love your blog, you are super cool and I love reading about what you do)

  12. Elisha says:

This is so stunning. You always make the most gorgeous and inspirational moodboards. As a designer, I love seeing people’s process and sharing my own but with moodboards I’m concerned about the copyright issues that may arise from posting these images. What do you think?

  13. Oh, this girl and her eyes ! wow wow wow, Such a particular and intense beauty !
Love the play with the shapes, lines and contrasts in this one.

  14. Kelly Brito says:

Your moodboards are always the best. But the photos used on this moodboard are just amazing. The center and right side photos… oh goodness! It’s like they are sucking me in. Although I want to move to a suburban house, I felt like living in that street full of buildings.
    Just love it!
