I’m one of those people who is impatient. Very much so. In fact, it took all of my being to WAIT before launching my new portfolio after spending four months on developing it ( a personal record ). But finally, the day is here and I couldn’t be more happy! My goal was to create a portfolio more my style in order to showcase my dream client. Not as feminine, simplistic, classic, and modern. Along with my brand new portfolio + brand refresh ( color palette ), almost everything behind the scenes has changed as well. From business cards to invoice styling and custom pencils – I’m ready to go. You can view the new website right here … and make sure you click around as well because there are several new projects uploaded.

So lovely. You just have a way with minimalism that makes me go WOW! Thanks for sharing all of your work and continuing to inspire. 2013 is gonna be a good one for you :)

  19. Kate says:

I love this–obviously the colors, because you are amazing at that, but also your typeface! I’ve been sort of doubting my choice of rounded ends on the typeface I used on my own branding, mainly because I’m totally self-taught when it comes to typography so I have no idea if I (unbeknownst to me) have terrible taste. So I feel slightly validated by your nice, round ends :)

  20. anto says:

  21. Mailinh says:

  24. Nesha says:

It looks beautiful! I love the colors and the minimalism. I’m also lovin’ the pencils. Job well done.

I too am reworking my brand- changing the name too, which is kinda scary. May I ask, how did you handle the change when you switched from calling your biz Moxee to Breanna Rose? Did people understand why you did it? And did you retain your visitors and readership?

    • bre says:

      Thank you!

The switch from “moxee” to my name went smoother than I could have imagined. I never had any inquiries from people being confused, which is great. I made sure to do everything in steps. First, I changed all my social media usernames … but kept my profile pictures, so honestly, people didn’t notice much. My portfolio was always under my “imbreannarose.com” name, so that was good. The biggest change, I believe, was my blog. I noticed numbers go down a little bit ( reader wise ) , but not by much. And that didn’t bug me a whole lot. Things bounced right back after a month or so.

Hope that helps! I just honestly feel so much comfortable using my own name. So make sure you’re working under something you can be proud of.

  25. Nesha says:

Thanks Bre! That’s helped a lot.

I’m switching to operating my business in my own name because it just feels way more comfortable and less restrictive. I’m altering my new portfolio + blog style to a very minimalistic, smart and clean look which is a big contrast to what I’m workin’ now. But Its feels more ‘me’. Hopefully people will accept that!

Thanks! And once again, loving the new portfolio design. (and the Love Taza design!)

  26. Linnea says:

Everything is gorgeous, Bre! It looks so simple, thought out, and intuitive. I think it really showcases your creativity and the spectrum of projects you’ve worked on. I’m excited to see where 2013 & your hard work takes you. Happy holidays! xo
