For our new place, Michael and I are looking for a LARGE print to put above the bed. Something fun with a pop of color ( or two or three, ha ). Our bedding and much everything else is either white or neutral, so this is gonna be a big focal piece. I went on a crazy Society 6 browsing spree last night and these are some of my top picks. Maybe not everything makes sense above a bed, but I just can’t decide. Maybe a more simple + basic pattern will work better?

Do any of you have any favorite Society 6 artists or print shops? Chances are, I’m missing some! I’d love it if you’d share. And … Go!

The Pretend is Near is one of my favorites out of that bunch! It’s just so …. whimsical. I feel like I could dream under that, ya know?? I have yet to check out Lunalux yet, but have definitely heard of them. Maybe I’ll pop over!! Any other good local stationery shop recs? I’ve lived in the suburbs my whole life, so I still need to explore Minneapolis way better than I have. ;)

      xx.

I’ve seen some beautiful prints. This one has colors that are a bit darker than what you might be looking for but it’s really pretty http://society6.com/product/Post-Meridiem_Print/
These state prints are also very lovely: http://society6.com/chengel
If you are looking for pattern, this one is pretty and would be really nice in a neutral space http://society6.com/sageandberries/Pink-Dahlias-uQa_Print
Last but not least a beautiful watercolor illustration http://society6.com/amyholliday/Time_Print

sorry for the massive amount of links. :)

I love the pretend is near one, very clever and pretty. We’re moving into a new place in 3 weeks and I’ve decided that I want a large painting over our bed also, but since the ones I love we can’t afford I’m thinking about doing one myself.

    • bre says:

I hear ya! I’m going to be doing several myself, too … I’m just going to accept the fact that it’ll take time to get a good collection going. :)

  7. I was so happy to be looking at your blog just now, catching up on my reader, and found you like/blogged about my Exploding Triangles print! I am happy you like it. Thanks for sharing.

I also love Monica’s prints at Party in the Mountains. Her different triangle prints are my favorite. My pick of hers for above my bed would be one of her “Party in the Mountain” series like this one:

Or this one (I like how this one reminds me of stars in a night’s sky):

    ps. Did I mention I’m Monica’s sister :)
